ใบไม้ไหว When the Leaves Move

นั่งมองไปที่ต้นไม้หลังบ้าน วันฟ้าครึ้ม ฝนจะตก หรือ ไม่ตก ไม่สามารถคาดเดาได้ แต่สิ่งที่รับรู้ได้นั่นคือ ลมอ่อนๆ ที่พัดแผ่ว เพราะใบไม้ไหวเบาๆ สามารถสร้างความรู้สีกที่แตกต่างกันไปตามอารมณ์ของผู้มองในขณะนั้น

คนที่มีความสุข คงนีกถึงความโรแมนติค นึกถึงคนที่รัก

คนที่มีความเศร้า อกหัก คงจะอาการหนักขี้น ลมแผ่วๆ กับใบไม้ไหวเบาๆ คงยิ่งตอกย้ำความรู้สีกให้หนักลึกลงไป

คนที่กำลังจะออกไปข้างนอก คงจะอารมณ์เสียเพราะความสนุกสนานที่รออยู่เบื้องหน้าต้องพังเพราะฟ้าครึ้มอาจปล่อยสายฝนพรั่งพรูลงมาเมื่อใดก็ได้

คนที่อยู่ในสภาวะแห้งแล้ง ชาวนา ชาวไร่ เกษตรกร คงดีใจและ เฝ้ารอสายฝนที่จะตกกระหน่ำ หล่อเลี้ยงต้นข้าว และพืชผักให้งอกงาม

หรือ ใบไม้ไหวเปรียบเสมือนคนที่อ่อนไหว โอนอ่อนผ่อนตามไปกับคนรอบข้าง สิ่งแวดล้อม เหมือนใบไม้ที่ไหวตามสายลม

The soft wind makes the leaves move. I created in Thai for many years before making the video then I tried to understand what I thought on that day.

I was sitting and looking at the tree behind my house on a cloudy day. The sky felt unsure — maybe it would rain, maybe it wouldn’t — but what I could feel for certain was the soft wind. The gentle breeze made the leaves move, and that simple motion can create different feelings depending on the person watching.

Someone who is happy might see romance in it and think of the person they love.

Someone who is sad or heartbroken might feel even heavier, as the soft wind and moving leaves echo their emotions.

Someone about to go out might feel annoyed, worried that the fun waiting ahead could be ruined if the sky suddenly decides to pour.

Someone living through a dry season — farmers, growers — might feel hope, waiting for the rain that will finally nourish their fields.

Or maybe the moving leaves are like people who are sensitive, easily swayed by those around them, bending with whatever wind passes by.

The soft wind makes the leaves move. I wrote this in Thai many years ago, and when I revisited it while making the video, I tried to understand what I was really thinking on that day.
